CONSIDER AUTHORIZING REPAIRS ON UNIT 87-5 TO BAYOU CITY <br />FOR]) IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $20,000. - S. Gillett <br /> <br />Public Works Director Steve Gillett made a recommendation to authorize repairs <br />on unit 87-5 to Bayou City Ford in the amount not to exceed $20,000. Mr. <br />Gillett also advised Council that competitive bids for this type of repair fall <br />under the general exemption from municipal purchasing statues "due to <br />procurement necessary due to unforeseen damage to public machinery, <br />equipment or other property" . <br /> <br />City Manager Robert T. Herrera advised Council he has requested staff to <br />review current insurance deductibles. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to apJ'rove relJairs on Unit 87-5 as <br />recommended by staff. Second by Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 7 <br />ayes, and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Ebow, McLaughlin, Gay, Maxwell, Clarke <br />and Mayor Malone. <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />10. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br /> <br />The City Manager did not present any administrative reports. <br /> <br />11.
