<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Page 4 - City Council Minutes <br />Regular Meeting - September 22, 1997 <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Gay to appoint Councilperson Jack <br />Maxwell as alternate delegate to represent the City of La Porte at the National <br />League of Cities Annual Congress of Cities business meeting. Second by <br />COlmcilperson Sutherland. The motion carried 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, <br />Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor Malone. <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />9. CONSIDER AWARDING A CONTRACT TO PROGRESSIVE <br />CHEMICALS INC., AS LOW BIDDER FOR REPLASTER/RETILE OF <br />THE LITTLE CEDAR BAYOU WAVE POOL - S. Ba.o.o <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Director Stephen Barr reviewed the summary and <br />recommendation for the request to approve a contract to Progressive Chemical <br />Inc., for replaster/retile of the Little Cedar Bayou Wave Pool. Mr. Barr <br />answered questions from Council, and advised it should take approximately two <br />months for repairs to be completed. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Gay to approve the contract to Progressive <br />Chemicals. Inc. Second by Councilperson Engelken. The motion carried, 9 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, <br />Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />10. CONSIDER AWARDING mn FOR POLYETHYLENE PIPE TO <br />MASKELL-ROBBINS INC., - S. Gillett <br /> <br />Public Works Director Steve Gillett reviewed the summary and recommendation <br />for the request to award bid for polyethylene pipe to Maskell-Robbins Inc. In <br />addition, Mr. Gillett addressed questions from City Council. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Ebow to award bid to Maskell-Robbins. <br />Inc. Second by Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, <br />Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor Malone. <br />Nays: None <br />
