e e A@(Q)~ ORDINANCE NO. 97-915-00 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A PERMIT UNDER SECTION 18-a-3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 915, "PIPELINE TRANSPORTATION", BEING CHAPTER 18-A OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, DATED NOVEMBER 25, 1975, TO CONSTRUCT A 4.5-INCH PIPE LINE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF ANHYDROUS AMMONIA, AND AN 18-INCH PIPE LINE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF ANHYDROUS HYDROGEN CHLORIDE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1 D The City Council of the City of La Porte has received an application dated September 17, 1997, from ARCO PIPE LINE COMPANY, requesting a permit under Section 18-A-3 of Ordinance 915, being Chapter 18-A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte, to construct and operate its 4. 5-inch pipe li"ne for the transportation of ANHYDROUS AMMONIA and its 18-inch pipe line for the transportation of ANHYDROUS HYDROGEN CHLORIDE, crossing the City of La Porte, all as shown on said application. The application of ARCO PIPE LINE COMPANY has been reviewed by the City's Director of Public Works, who has found that said ,., .. . ....-i application meets all requirements of said Ordinance No. 915, and has recommended its approval. Section 2. The City Council of the city of La Porte hereby approves the application of ARCO PIPE LINE COMPANY, dated September 17, 1997, and this Ordinance shall constitute a permit to ARCO PIPE LINE COMPANY to operate said pipe lines wi thin the City of La Porte, all in conformance with the requirements of Ordinance No. 915, contingent upon its filing with the City of La Porte prior to commencement of construction, copies of its permits from the Texas Department of Highways and Transportation; Harris County; and the Harris County Flood Control District. Any future relocation of the pipe lines herein permitted, within the City, State, or County rights-of-way, shall be at the sole expense of permittee.
