<br />AN ORDIN,ANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE ALLEY OF BLOCK 117,
<br />TOWN OF I..A PORTE; A PORTION OF THE WEST "E" STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY; AND A
<br />PORTION OF THE WEST "F" STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS
<br />COUNTY, TEXAS; RETAINING EASEMENTS FOR EXISTING WATER, SEWER, POWER,
<br />AND TELEltHONE FACD..ITIES; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS
<br />LAW; AND ItROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.

<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has been requested by the record owner of
<br />all of the proP(:rty abutting the hereinafter descn'bed alley of Block 117, Town of La Porte, a portion of the
<br />
<br />West "E" Stree:t Right~f-Way, and a portion of the West "F" Street Right~f-Way, Town of La Porte,
<br />
<br />Harris County, Texas; to vacate, abandon, and permanently close that portion of the alley of Block 117,
<br />
<br />Town of La Porte, a portion of the West "E" Street Right~f-Way, and a portion of the West "F" Street
<br />
<br />Right~f-Way, Town of La Porte, H~s County, Texas; and
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has detennined and does hereby f'md,
<br />
<br />determine, and declare that the hereinafter descn'bed alley of Block 117, Town of La Porte, a portion of the
<br />West "E" Street. Right~f-Way, and a portion of the West "F" Street Right~f- Way, Town of La Porte,
<br />
<br />Harris County, Texas, is not suitable, needed, or beneficial to the public as a public road, street, or alley,
<br />and the closing .of hereinafter desaibed alley of Block 117, Town of La Porte, a portion of West "E" Street
<br />
<br />Right~f-Way, and a portion of the West "F" Street Right~f-Way, Town of La Porte, Hanis County,
<br />Texas, is for the protection of the public and for the public interest and benefit, and that the hereinafter
<br />
<br />described alley of Block 117, Town of La Porte, a portion of West "E" Street Right~f-Way and a portion
<br />of the West "F" ;Street Right~f-Way, Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, should be vacated,
<br />
<br />abandoned, and pennanently closed.

<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCD.. OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:

<br />Section 1.

<br />Under and by virtue of the power granted to the City of La Porte under its home rule
<br />
<br />charter and Chapter 253, Section 253.001, Texas Local Government Code, the hereinafter desaibed alley
<br />of Block 117, Town of La Porte, a portion of the West "E" Street Right~f-Way, and a portion of the West
<br />
<br />"F" Street Right-()f-Way, Town of La Porte, Hanis C01mty, Texas, as genem11y depicted by Exhibit "A", is
<br />
<br />hereby pennanenltly vacated, abandoned, and closed by the City of La Porte, to wit:
