Carroll, La. Porte, Texas advised Council the buildings on <br />Carroll Street are very dangerous to children in the area and he is in favor of <br />demolition. <br /> <br />Margaret McIntyre 3333 Clarksville, La. Porte, Texas advised Council she and <br />several Spenwick residents are in favor of the demolition of the old Spenwick, <br />Civic building. <br /> <br />Margaret Lindsey 110 E. Street, La Porte, Texas advised Council she has <br />owned the home at this address for several years. She further advised Council <br />she has been trying to get a permit to start working on the property and Debbie <br />Wilmore refuses to call her back. She had her Attorney contact our Attorney to <br />have Debbie Wilmore call her. She stated she took down the building in the <br />back of the house and does not believe the building is 50% damaged. There is <br />damage to the building and she has received several bids from contractors. <br /> <br />Steve Valarius 140 Hazel, La Porte, Texas advised Council he was speaking on <br />behalf of the Old 146 Committee. He reported the committee is in favor of <br />demolition of the buildings being presented this evening. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION BY STAFF <br /> <br />Ms. Wilmore informed Council that staff recommends demolition of the <br />buildings <br />presented this evening. <br /> <br />CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Mayor Malone closed the Public Hearing at 7: 11 P.M. <br /> <br />8.
