Asst Finance Director <br />_ REPORT; .lQL RESOLUTION; _ ORDINANCE; <br /> <br />In August of 1994, the La Porte Independent School District became trustee for Lots 21 and 22, <br />Block 37, Bayfront Addition. The property is located on South Holmes. <br /> <br />The School obtained this property through the Delinquent Tax Constable Sale process. At this <br />time, the School has reached an agreement to resell the property to a neighboring property <br />owner, Mr. Troy Guest who resides at 514 South Holmes. Mr. Guest has agreed to purchase the <br />property for the base amount of the taxes which are due. <br /> <br />The School has asked the City to agree to resell this property at a discounted amount. The Base <br />Taxes due the City on this property are $362.82 and the Penalty and Interest are $438.06. <br /> <br />Staff met with the Audit Committee on October 19, 1998 and received a favorable response <br />towards the resale of ihe properties. <br /> <br />Staff recommends this property be resold to Mr. Guest for the amount of the base taxes.
