Mock - 719 Sylvan La Porte - addressed Council to oppose the Bayport <br />Expansion. Open Public Hearing - Mayor Malone opened the Public Hearing at 6:20 PM. <br /> <br />Review by Staff - Assistant City Manager John Joems presented summary and <br />recommendation regarding the additions/deletions to the Tax Increment Reinvestment <br />Zone Number 1 and answered questions. <br /> <br />Public Input - None. <br /> <br />Recommendation of Staff - Mr. Joems recommended the City proceed with the Tax <br />Increment Reinvestment Zone Number 1 additions and deletions. <br /> <br />Close Public Hearing - Mayor Malone closed the Public Hearing at 6:29 PM. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Council considered approving an ordinance enlarging the boundaries of Tax <br />Reinvestment Zone Number One. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered questions for City Council. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 99-2350 - AN ORDINANCE <br />ENLARGING THE BOUNDARIES OF REINVESTMENT ZONE NUMBER ONE, <br />CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS; CONTAINING FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE FOREGOING SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Ebow to approve the ordinance as presented by Mr. <br />Joerns. Second by Councilperson Porter.
