Council received report regarding proposed relocation of original Library building to <br />Depot Park site by La Porte-Bay Area Boulevard extension. <br /> <br />City Manager Robert T. Herrera presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />questions for City Council. <br /> <br />Council directed Mr. Herrera to proceed with the relocation of the Library building. <br /> <br />14. Council received a report regarding Bay Area Boulevard Extension. <br /> <br />Director of Planning Doug Kneupper presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered City Council's questions. <br /> <br />Council directed Mr. Kneupper to move forward with current road alignment and send <br />letter to Harris County. <br /> <br />15. Council received a report regarding proposed Port of Houston Bayport Expansion. <br /> <br />City Manager Robert T. Herrera presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered City Council's questions. <br /> <br />Council directed Mr. Herrera to proceed forward with proposed position paper on Port <br />of Houston Bayport Expansion. Council noted future changes could be made if needed. <br /> <br />16. ADMINISTRA TNE REPORTS <br /> <br />City Manager Robert T. Herrera reminded Council of the following events: <br /> <br />A. Budget Workshop - August 16 - 20, 1999 <br /> <br />B. City observes Labor Day Holiday - September 6, 1999 <br /> <br />17. COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />Councilpersons Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Porter, Young, and Mayor <br />Malone brought items to Council's attention. <br /> <br />18. EXECUTIVE SESSION - PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW, CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551.076, AND 551.084, <br />TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE, - (CONSULTATION WIm ATTORNEY, <br />DELIBERATION REGARDING REAL PROPERTY, DELIBERATION <br />REGARDING PROSPECTIVE GIFT OR DONATION, PERSONNEL <br />MATTERS, CONFERENCE WITH EMPLOYEES DELIBERATION <br />
