City Council Minutes — February 21, 2000 — Page 3 <br />City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2000-2383 — AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING AN EXCESS REBATE WATER CAPACITY PURCHASE AND <br />SALE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY <br />AND THE CITY OF PASADENA; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH TIME <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Gay to vote on items 6, 7, and 8 as one item to <br />approve ordinance numbers 2000-2381 2000-2382 and 2000-2383 as presented by Mr. <br />Herrera. Second by Councilperson Young. The motion carried. <br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Porter, Gay, Young, Clarke and Mayor <br />Malone. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />9. Council considered approving an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to execute a cost <br />sharing agreement Southeast Water Purification Plant (restated and amended) with the <br />City of Houston. <br />City manager Robert T. Herrera presented summary and recommendation. Director of <br />Public Works Steve Gillett provided additional information to City Council. <br />City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2000-2384 — AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING A COST SHARING AGREEMENT ON THE SOUTHEAST WATER <br />PURIFICATION PLANT BETWEEN THE LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY <br />AND THE CITY OF HOUSTON; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Engelken to approve the ordinance as presented by <br />Mr. Herrera. Council considered awarding bid for computer parts and supplies to Komputer Plus. <br />Director of Administrative Services Louis Rigby presented summary and <br />recommendation and answered questions for City Council. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Engelken to award the bid as presented by Mr. <br />Rigby. Second by Councilperson Clarke/Porter. The motion carried. <br />
