Council considered approving an ordinance which establishes a joint venture agreement between the City of La Porte and the Glen Meadows section 4A Community Improvement Association to provide a decorative lighting system for Glen Meadows Park. Director of Parks & Recreation Stephen Barr presented summary and recommendation. Assistant City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2000-2393 — AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND THE GLEN MEADOWS SECTION 4A COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION REGARDING JOINT PARTICIPATION IN INSTALLATION OF A DECORATIVE LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR GLEN MEADOWS PARK; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
