Council considered approving an ordinance approving and authorizing a contract between the City of La Porte and Spigener Corporation for construction of the Bay Forest Golf Course Clubhouse expansion. Director of Planning Doug Kneupper presented summary and recommendation. Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong read: ORDINANCE 2000-2413 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND SPIGENER CORPORA nON FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE BAY FOREST GOLF COURSE CLUBHOUSE EXPANSION; APPROPRIATING $190,000.00; MAKlNG VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTNE DATE HEREOF.
