Council recommended Peter Griffiths and Deotis Gay submit alternate <br />members to the Re-districting committee in order to have sufficient minority <br />representation. Mr. Herrera suggested Council look at recent demographics make-up of <br />the City and consider the data prior to approving ordinance. <br />25. Workshop adjourned and the regular meeting re-convened at 8:44 PM. <br />26. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />City Manager Robert T. Herrera reminded Council of the following events: <br />A. TRAFFIC HUMP REQUESTS -NOVEMBER 14, 2000 <br />B. THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY - NOVEMEBER 23 AND 24, 2000 <br />C. ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY -NOVEMBER 30, 2000 <br />27. COUNCIL ACTION <br />Councilpersons Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Porter, Gay, Young, Clarke, and <br />Malone brought items to Council's attention. <br />28. EXECUTIVE SESSION -PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW, CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551.076, AND 551.084, TEXAS <br />GOVERNMENT CODE, - (CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY, <br />DELIBERATION REGARDING REAL PROPERTY, DELIBERATION <br />REGARDING PROSPECTIVE GIFT OR DONATION, PERSONNEL MATTERS, <br />CONFERENCE WITH EMPLOYEES DELIBERATION REGARDING <br />SECURITY DEVICES, OR EXCLUDING A WITNESS DURING <br />EXAMINATION OF ANOTHER WITNESS IN AN INVESTIGATION) <br />29.
