Council considered approving an ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances of the City <br />of La Porte, Chapter 106, more commonly referred to as the Zoning Ordinance of the <br />City of La Porte, by granting a Special Conditional Use Permit for that certain parcel of <br />land described as follows: To Wit: Lots 1 through 8 and the adjoining west one-half of <br />the alley of Block 681, J. Hunter Survey 1-35 for the purpose of operating a fuel quality <br />testing business and storing a limited quantity of petroleum services products within a <br />Light Industrial Zone (Ord. 1501-MM). <br />Mayor read: ORDINANCE 1501-MM — AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE <br />OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, CHAPTER 106, MORE <br />COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br />LA PORTE, BY GRANTING A SPECIAL CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THAT <br />CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: TO WIT: LOTS 1 <br />THROUGH 8 AND THE ADJOINING WEST ONE-HALF OF THE ALLEY OF <br />BLOCK 681, J. HUNTER SURVEY 1-35 FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING A <br />FUEL QUALITY TESTING BUSINESS AND STORING A LIMITED QUANTITY OF <br />PETROLEUM SERVICES PRODUCTS WITHIN A LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONE. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to approve Ordinance 1501-NM as read by <br />the Mayor.
