Council considered adopting ordinances authorizing execution by the City of La <br />Porte of Industrial District Agreements for the term commencing January 1, 2001, <br />and ending December 31, 2007 (Ords. 2000-IDA-46 thru 2000-IDA-53). <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCES 2000-IDA-46 THROUGH 2O00-IDA 53 <br />— AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION BY THE CITY OF <br />LA PORTE OF AN INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AGREEMENT WITH KAVER, <br />LP; TURBO STORAGE SERVICE COMPANY, INC.; DANA TANK <br />CONTAINER, INC.; AKZO NOBEL CHEMICALS, INC.; ARCO MIDCON <br />LLC; BAKER PETROLITE CORPORATION; BAYPORT NORTH <br />INDUSTRIAL PARK, LP; AND PRIME SERVICE, INC., FOR THE TERM <br />COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2001, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2007; <br />MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE <br />SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to adopt Ordinances 2000-IDA-46 <br />through 2000-IDA-53 as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson <br />Griffiths. Council considered an ordinance vacating, abandoning and closing the alley in <br />Block 752, Town of LaPorte, Harris County, Texas (Ord. 2001-2461) (Tabled at <br />Jan. 8, 2001, meeting). <br />Planning Director Doug Kneupper presented summary and recommendation. <br />At the request of City Council the applicant agreed to pay for the residual alley <br />not included in the original request. <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2001-2461 — AN ORDINANCE <br />VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 752, <br />TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS; FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Ebow to adopt Ordinance 2001-2461 as read <br />by the City Attorney.
