<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000-915-TT <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A PERMIT UNDER SECTION 18-a-3 OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 915, "PIPELINE TRANSPORTATION", BEING CHAPTER 18-A OF THE CODE <br />OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, DATED NOVEMBER 25, <br />1975, TO CONSTRUCT A 18-INCH PIPE LINE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF <br />REFINED PETROLEUM PRODUCTS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />section 1. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of La Porte has <br /> <br />received an application dated January 4, 2001, from AMOCO PIPELINE <br /> <br />COMPANY, requesting a permit under section 18-A-3 of Ordinance 915, <br /> <br />being Chapter 18-A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La <br /> <br />Porte, to construct and operate its 18-inch steel pipe line for the <br /> <br />transportation of REFINED PETROLEUM PRODUCTS, crossing the City of <br /> <br />La Porte, all as shown on said application. <br /> <br />The application of <br /> <br />AMOCO PIPELINE COMPANY has been reviewed by the City's Director of <br /> <br />Public Works, who has found that said application meets all <br /> <br />requirements of said Ordinance No. 915, and has recommended its <br /> <br />approval. <br /> <br />section 2. The City council of the City of La Porte hereby <br /> <br />approves the application of AMOCO PIPELINE COMPANY, dated January <br /> <br />4, 2001, and this Ordinance shall constitute a permit to AMOCO <br /> <br />PIPELINE COMPANY to operate said pipe line within the City of La <br /> <br />Porte, all in conformance with the requirements of Ordinance No. <br /> <br />915, contingent upon its filing with the City of La Porte prior to <br /> <br />commencement of construction, copies of its permits from the Texas <br /> <br />Department of Highways and Transportation; Harris County; and the <br /> <br />Harris County Flood Control District. Any future relocation of the <br /> <br />pipe lines herein permitted, within the city, State, or county <br /> <br />rights-of-way, shall be at the sole expense of permittee. <br />
