Consider awarding bid to declare V opak a sole source supplier of Permanone 31- 66 and award bid for the purchase of permanone and the sunpar mineral oil- S. Gillett Motion was made by Councilperson Gay to approve the consent agenda as presented by Mr. Gillett. Second by Councilperson Engelken. The motion carried. Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Porter, Ebow, Gay, Young, Clarke, and Malone. Nays: None Abstain: None 17. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS: City Manager Robert Herrera brought to Council's attention that the City would be observing Good Friday on April 13, 2001. He also reminded Council of Sylvan Beach Day on April 28, 2001. In closing Mr. Herrera apologized to Council for the limited parking spaces available due to the expansion of City Hall. 18. COUNCIL COMMENTS Councilpersons Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Porter, Gay, Young, Clarke and Mayor Malone brought items to Council's attention. 19. EXECUTIVE SESSION - PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551.076, AND 551.084, TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE, - (CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY, DELffiERATION REGARDING REAL PROPERTY, DELffiERATION REGARDING PROSPECTIVE GIFT OR DONATION, PERSONNEL MATTERS, CONFERENCE WITH EMPLOYEES DELffiERATION REGARDING SECURITY DEVICES, OR EXCLUDING A WITNESS DURING EXAMINATION OF ANOTHER WITNESS IN AN INVESTIGATION) 551.086 (Deliberation regarding Economic Development Negotiations) Meet with City Manager regarding economic development negotiations. Council retired to executive session at 7:45 P.M. 20. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ITEMS CONSIDERED IN EXECUTIVE SESSION Council returned to the table at 8:30 P.M. with no action taken. 21. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before Council, the Regular Meeting and was duly adjourned at 8:32 P.M.
