Council considered approving an ordinance authorizing the City of La Porte and Kevin <br />O'Brien dba Gulf Coast Concessions and Catering to enter into an agreement to provide <br />concession at Little Cedar Bayou Wave Pool. <br />Parks Director Stephen Barr presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Council's questions. <br />City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2001-2489 - AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING; <br />AND APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND <br />KEVIN O'BRIEN DBA GULF COAST CONCESSIONS AND CATERING FOR <br />PROVISION OF FOOD, BEVERAGE, AND CONCESSION SERVICES AT LITTLE <br />CEDAR BAYOU WAVE POOL ACCORDING TO THE TERMS AND PROVISIONS <br />OF THE AGREEMENT MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTNE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Porter to approve Ordinance 2001-2489 as presented <br />by Mr.Barr. Second by Councilperson Engelken. The motion carried. <br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Porter, Warren, Young, Clarke, and <br />Malone. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None. <br />12. Council considered approving an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute a <br />contract with Brooks Concrete, Inc. in the amount of $26,605.60 and authorizing <br />$1330.00 contingency for the City-Wide Sidewalk Replacement Project. <br />Planning Director Doug Kneupper presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered Council's questions. <br />City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2001-2490 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND <br />BROOKS CONCRETE, INC. FOR THE CITY-WIDE SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT <br />PROJECT APPROPRIATING $ 27,935.60 TO FUND SAID CONTRACT; MAKING <br />VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; <br />FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING <br />AN EFFECTNE DATE. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Young t, o approve Ordinance 2001-2490 as <br />presented by Mr.Kneup~er.
