ZPOl, OD Lot1328" 329i Nani, Ide.

Dear Councilmen,

Our response to Mr. Momio.s petition or)uly 23,2001, is as follows;

Issue ~

10 order Co beautify tlae a~, we should .:Gme up wltb the CODstructlon criteria; City
of La Porte .bouJd not allow buDdinl a metal buiJdinl radal Bigllway 146. The fro.t IS
well AI both .ides of buildings .hould be brick, CODnete block aDd or .tuec.o. These metal
buildials do Dot give a very good ~mpression about the ciCy', image. Those Dleta' buildiags
are eyesore.

Mr. MoDlin's concern about the type ofbuiJding that should be buile on BuboUfs Cut
Blvd. However. we felt a need to address them.

,

SpecificaUy, in response to this issue, he rejects any type of metal bUilding. Firstly, our
building will be brick not metal. However. if Mr. Momin.s view is acc:epted, many businesses
would not be able to operate. In every city there exist some metal, brick, stucco and wood
buildings side by side. His view is not economically feasible Cor tbe growth otbu3iness
opportUnities. Additionally, he forgets that he has a metal building on his property. Furthermore,
our property does not face highway,146. This street b zone for conunercial business and has a
minimwn of 1.000 per hour trucks using it as a thorollghfare.

Although it is partially a residential area. our facility will be attractive. It will have trees,
brushes and grass to enhance the beautification of the area. Our building wiD be an attractive
building and not an eyesore.

Issue n.

City of Dear Park receallY passed an ordinauce tbat "jD probibit building of new
apartmene complexes, ill order to improve the beautification on Barboun Cut 8"41.,
Bip.ayt,,(j a 225, City of La Porte .hould coDsider banDiul perm..endy buildial truck
depot. as weD,1 truek leopS, truck fueling 'Callons (atCCllded or un.tteaded).
