A major <br />part of Ruben's duties were driveablility diagnosis, troubleshooting hydraulic systems and diesel <br />systems, repair problems, including gas systems. <br /> <br />Over th~ last twenty-four (24) years Ruben has alwavs received an excellent evaluation. <br />Ruben's :Supervisor- Isabel Salinas, Equipment Services Supervisor, has noted many times that <br />Ruben is very good at troubleshooting mechanical problems and practiced use of good common <br />sense, Ruben required very little supervision, and frequently was asked to supervise during Mr. <br />Salinas' absence. Ruben had a thorough knowledge of assignment duties and was able to <br />perform them in an excellent manner. He was always willing to learn new procedures and kept <br />an open: mind at all times, handling a great quantity of work with quality results and ready to <br />take action based on the best interests of the City. Ruben was always extremely responsive to <br />any suggestion from co-workers or supervisor, He was a dependable employee that was relied <br />upon to ~et any job done correctly and is a professional in every sense of the word. <br /> <br />Another area was Ruben excelled, was his interpersonal skills. Many of his evaluations noted <br />that Ruben was superior. He maintained an outstanding relationship with virtually everyone. <br />He displayed a superior temperament when dealing with co-workers, supervisor, and personnel <br />from other departments. Ruben has a wonderful sense of humor and always treated everyone <br />with respect and kindness. <br /> <br />Everyone at the City will certainly miss your professionalism and smiling face.
