Council considered approval of an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute the <br />First Amendment to Agreement and Lease between the City of La Porte and Tri-Star <br />Aviation, Inc. <br />Director of Public Works Steve Gillett presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered Council's questions. <br />Assistant City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2002-2545 - AN ORDINANCE <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE <br />AGREEMENT OF LEASE FOR FIXED BASE OPERATION AT THE CITY OF LA <br />PORTE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE, LESSOR, <br />AND BAYPORT AVIATION, INC., PREDECESSOR CORPORATION TO TRI-STAR <br />AVIATION, INC., LESSEE, EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 2002; MAKING VARIOUS <br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to approve Ordinance 2002-2545 as <br />presented b~Mr. Kneupper. Council to consider adoption of an ordinance for Standard Security Life Insurance <br />Company of New York's proposal, as presented, authorizing the City Manager to execute <br />the policy contract for April 1, 2002 through March 31, 2003. <br />Director of Administrative Services Carol Buttler presented summary and <br />recommendation and answered Council's questions. <br />Assistant City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2002-2546 - AN ORDINANCE <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA <br />PORTE AND STANDARD SECURITY LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY OF NEW <br />YORK, FOR A STOP LOSS INSURANCE CONTRACT EFFECTNE APRIL 1, 2002; <br />APPROPRIATING NOT TO EXCEED $200,827.00, TO FUND SAID CONTRACT; <br />MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE <br />SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />
