Ms Edmondson requested the City provide utility service <br />for the property in question. <br /> <br />Charles Doize of 211 East Forest, La Porte, Texas, voiced his concerns with Zoning, as it <br />relates to rebuilding his garage. <br /> <br />6. Council considered adopting a resolution extending the moratorium on mid to high density <br />residential development for an additional 60 days. <br /> <br />Director of Planning Doug Kneupper presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered Council's questions. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong: RESOLUTION 2002-32 - A RESOLUTION <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, EXTENDING THE <br />MORATORIUM ON THE ACCEPTANCE FOR FILING AND THE ISSUANCE OF <br />BUILDING PERMITS AND ALL OTHER ZONING AND/OR DEVELOPMENT <br />PERMITS FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION IN THE MID AND HIGH-DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICTS, ADOPTED FEBRUARY 11,2002; <br />PROVIDING THAT SUCH EXTENSION SHALL EXPIRE AFTER SIXTY (60) DAYS <br />OR DISPOSITION OF ZONING CHANGE PROCEEDINGS WITH REGARD TO <br />SUCH DISTRICTS, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST; PROVIDING FOR SPECIAL <br />EXCEPTIONS IN THE EVENT OF HARDSHIP; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTNE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Councilmember Young to approve this resolution as presented by <br />Mr. Kneupper. Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong read: 2000-IDA-63 - AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE OF AN <br />INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AGREEMENT WITH GSL CONSTRUCTORS, LTD. <br />(HARCROSS CHEMICALS, INC., LESSEE); FOR THE TERM COMMENCING <br />JANUARY 1,2001, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31,2007; MAKING VARIOUS <br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTNE DATE HEREOF. <br />
