<br />City Council Minutes 10-14-02 -Page 7 <br />18. CONSIDERATIONS AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ITEMS CONSIDERED IN <br />EXECUTNE SESSION <br />City Manager Robert Herrera's attorney, Mr. Randall Stone, and La Porte City Attorney <br />Knox Askins attended the Executive Session with all of Council and Mayor. <br />Based on the audit report from independent auditor, Mr. Mark Tiller, and deep discussion <br />with City Council, Council finds no fraud or wrongdoing. Therefore no action is <br />warranted. <br />Upon returning to chambers, City Manager Robert Herrera resigned as City Manager of <br />La Porte, effective immediately. He bears no animosity towards the City Council. it has <br />been a wonderful sixteen years. <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Meismer to accept Ci .Manager's Robert Herrera's <br />resignation and approval of the statement that Mayor Norman Malone read. Second by <br />Councilmember Warren. The motion carried. <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Warren, Meismer, Engelken, Beasley, Ebow, Young, and Malone <br />Nays: Griffiths <br />Abstain: None <br />The Councilmembers thanked City Manager Robert Herrera for his years of service and <br />wished him well. <br />19.
