City Council Minutes — 3/293 — Page 3 is <br />REPLACING THE PREVIOUS OFFICIAL ZONING MAP DATED JANUARY 26, 1987; <br />MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE <br />WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Beasley to approve Resolution 2003-07 as presented by <br />Mr. Kneupper. Second by Councilmember Engelken. The motion carried. <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Beasley, Warren, Young and Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />10. Council considered approving a resolution temporarily transferring North 4`h Street and North 5"' <br />Street (within the limits described) to the Harris County Road Log. <br />Director of Public Works, Steve Gillett, presented the summary and answered Council's <br />questions. <br />The City Attorney read: RESOLUTION 2003-08: RESOLUTION AUTHORZING THE <br />TEMPORARY TRANSFER OF THE SECTIONS OF TWO STREETS TO THE HARRIS <br />COUNTY ROAD LOG. <br />Motion. was made by Councilmember Ebow to approve Resolution 2003-08 as presented by Mr. <br />Gillett. Second by Councilmember Warren. The motion carried. <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Beasley, Warren, Young and Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />11. Council considered adopting an ordinance for the policy contract that offers the most benefit to <br />the City at the most reasonable cost and authorize the City Manager to execute the final policy <br />contract for April 1, 2003 through March 31, 2004. <br />Director of Administrative Services, Carol Buttler, presented the summary and answered <br />Council's questions. <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2003-2617 — AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND STANDARD <br />SECURITY LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY OF NEW YORK FOR A STOP LOSS MEDICAL <br />INSURANCE CONTRACT EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 2003; APPROPRIATING NOT TO <br />EXCEED $210.858.00, TO FUND SAID CONTRACT; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Engelken to approve Ordinance 2003-2617 as presented by <br />Ms. Buttler.
