<br />City Council Meeting - .e 23, 2003 - Page 5 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNTY, TEXAS; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Mayor Malone to table Ordinance 2003-2635. until the Julv 14.2003 <br />Council Meeting. as presented by Ms. Goodwin. Second by Councilperson Warren. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Engelken, Mosteit, Meismer, Warren, Young, Beasley, Ebow, Griffiths and Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />12. John Armstrong presented Council with a report on the Building and Standards <br />Commission. Council directed staff to proceed with preparation of an ordinance. <br /> <br />13. Chuck Engelken provided Council with a report on the Bayport Expansion Review <br />Committee. <br /> <br />14. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br /> <br />City Manager Debra Feazelle reminded Council the HGAC Workshop Meeting will be held <br />at the Houston Westchase Hiltonffowers on Thursday, June 26, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 <br />p.m.; City Hall Open House will be held on Thursday, July 3, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 <br />p.m.; and the 4th of July parade and fireworks will be held on Friday, July 4. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns provided Council with legislative updates after <br />attending sessions in Austin, Texas. <br /> <br />15. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmembers Engelken, Mosteit, Meismer, Warren, Young, Beasley, Griffiths and <br />Malone <br /> <br />16. EXECUTIVE SESSION - PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN MEETINGS <br />LAW, CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551.076, 551.086, TEXAS GOVERNMENT <br />CODE, (CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY, DELIBERATION REGARDING <br />REAL PROPERTY, DELmERATION REGARDING PROSPECTIVE GIFT OR <br />DONATION, PERSONNEL MATTERS, DELIBERATION REGARDING <br />SECURITY DEVICES, OR EXCLUDING A WITNESS DURING EXAMINATION <br />OF ANOTHER WITNESS IN ~ INVESTIGATION, DELIBERATION <br />REGARDING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NEGOTIATIONS) <br /> <br />Council retired into Executive Session at 8:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Council reconvened the Council Meeting at 8:42 p.m. <br /> <br />17, CONSIDERATION AND POSSmLE ACTION ON ITEMS CONSIDERED IN <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />There was no action taken during Executive Session. <br /> <br />18. There being no further business to come before Council, the Regular Meeting was duly <br />adjourned at 8:43 p.m. <br />
