• <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1501- `~'T.... <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 106, SECTION 106-521, TABLE A- <br />INDUSTRIAL USES, SECTION 106-522, TABLE B-INDUSTRIAL AREA <br />REQUIREMENTS, SECTION 106-751, SHIPPING CONTAINTERS, AND SECTION 106- <br />800, LANDSCAPING, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE-.CITY OF LA PORTS, <br />AS SAID SECTIONS PERTAIN TO SHIPPING CONTAINERS; PROVIDING THAT ANY <br />PERSON VIOLATING THE TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED <br />GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND SHALL UPON CONVICTION BE FINED A~ SUM OF <br />NOT MORE THAN TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000.00) FOR EACH VIOLATION; <br />FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH. THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING A SEVERA- <br />BILlTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />BE lT~ORDAINED ~BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTS: <br />SECTI®N 1. The City Council of the City of L.a Porte hereby finds, determines and <br />declares that heretofore, to-wit, on the 17 day of February, 2000, at 6:00 p.m., a public <br />hearing was held before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of La Porte, <br />Texas, pursuant to due notice, to consider the question of the possible amendment of the <br />Zoning Ordinance as herein described. There is attached to phis Ordinance as, Exhibit "A", <br />and incorporated by reference herein and made ~ a part hereof for all purposes, the <br />publisher'saffidavit of publication of notice of said hearing. ~ ~. <br />SECTIOi~ 2. ~ The. City Council of~ the City of La Porte is in receipt of .the written <br />recommendations of the City of L.a Porte Planning ~ Zoning Commission, by letter dated <br />March 15, 2000, a ~ true copy of which letter is attached hereto as Exhibit "B," and <br />incorporated by reference herein, and made part hereof for all purposes. <br />SECTION 3.
