Jordan Krahenbuhl, IAPMO Director <br />0 4 <br />Jordan Krahenbuhl-Director <br />Jordan Krahenbuhlis a third generation plumber, <br />following his grandfather, father, and three older brothers <br />into the plumbing and mechanical trades. He began his <br />plumbing career working in his family's plumbing <br />business in Salt Lake City, Utah. There, he apprenticed, <br />became a licensed plumber, and went on to serve as the <br />business's Qualifying Employee in Nevada and Arizona. <br />His inspections career dates back to 1988, when Jordan <br />began working for the Clark County Building Department <br />as a plumbing/mechanical inspector. Jordan was <br />certified as a plumbing inspector, mechanical inspector, <br />building inspector, and plans examiner. During this time, <br />he also taught plumbing and mechanical code classes at the Community College of <br />Southern Nevada for seven years. Currently, he is a Plumbing and Mechanical <br />Specialist with Clark County, responsible for reviewing the plumbing and mechanical <br />designs for residential and commercial construction, including the major high rises, <br />hotels, and casinos along the Las Vegas strip. <br />A UA member, Jordan works closely with the Southern Nevada UA, MCA, PHCC, <br />and SMACNA as well as the local jurisdictions to develop local plumbing and <br />mechanical ordinances and resolve code and interpretation differences. <br />Jordan is also an enthusiastic member of IAPMO, having served as Vice President <br />and President of the Southern Nevada Chapter of IAPMO. He is the current <br />Chairman of the Mechanical Code Committee of Southern Nevada. Jordan has the <br />distinct honor of being twice named as the Southern Nevada IAPMO Chapter <br />Government Person of the Year. <br />Nationally, Jordan has been active with IAPMO since 1993, serving on the Plumbing <br />Code Committee and as the current Chairman of the Standards Committee. <br />Yage I of I <br />http://www.iapmo.org/iapmo/board-bios/krahenbuhl.hbnl 2/9/2004 <br />
