Planning Director Nick Finan presented summary and recommendation and answered Council's questions. Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong read: ORDINANCE 1501MMM - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, CHAPTER 106, MORE COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, BY GRANTING A SPECIAL CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THAT AT 2619 UNDERWOOD ROAD, BEING LOT 10, BLOCK 2, OF THE W.J. PAYNE SUBDIVISION, LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING A MINI STORAGE AND WAREHOUSING IN A GENERAL COMMERCIAL (GC) ZONE; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS OF FACT RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMLPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made bv Councilmember Beaslev to approve the recommendation of the Planninl! and Zoninl! to deny aporoval of Ordinance 1501-MMM as recommended bv the Planninl! and Zoning Commission. The applicant, Four Bees Joint Venture, seeks to rezone the property from GC to R-I for single family development. Interim Planning Director Nick Finan presented summary and recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission and answered Council's questions. Public Input: There was no public input.
