<br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />~oO 4.:(:2... <br />**** <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE KEEP TEXAS BEAUTIFUL, INC. <br />ORGINAZATION IN LA PORTE AND ESTABLISHING A KEEP LAPORTE <br />BEAUTIFUL COMMITTEE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS,THE City of La Porte desires to improve the physical quality of <br />community life; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a clean environment contributes to the emotional, physical and <br />economic well-being of our citizens; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Affiliate program, developed by Keep Texas Beautiful, Inc. will <br />assist greatly in reducing the improper handling of waste, and thereby reduce litter <br />and increase solid waste management activities: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City of La Porte that the <br />governing body hereby endorses the organization, and supports the participation <br />with Keep Texas Beautiful, Inc., and <br /> <br />FURTHER, THE City of La Porte hereby recognizes the Keep La Port Beautiful <br />Committee. Said committee shall be an official committee and shall be accountable <br />to the City Manager.
