Due to <br />increasing technology and the continual upgrading of computer hardware and software, the items bid were often <br />obsolete prior to award by Council. <br /> <br />In an effort to minimize staff time and effort on researching for the latest compatible or "equal" product to the item <br />bid, staff is requesting approval to purchase computer and technological related products from the State of Texas <br />Department ofInformation Resources (DIR).
