<br />Special Called Pre-Budget Workshop Meeting - March 19,2005 <br /> <br />Page <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />Mayor Porter questioned the status of the Joint Venture Sports Complex and informed the Norman Malone <br />Memorial Mayor's Golf Tournament benefiting The La Porte Education Foundation will be held on April 26, <br />2005. <br /> <br />Councilman Rigby requested the proposal for cemetery proposal and sidewalk replacement be brought back to <br />City Council. <br /> <br />Councilman Mosteit requested staff to look at other alternative for the renovation of Lomax City Hall. <br /> <br />Councilman Engelken requested communications for cable channel be brought back before Council and <br />questioned how many Crossing Guards and Police Officers are at the schools. <br /> <br />Councilman Moser requested Summer Youth Program and Communications for Police be brought back. <br /> <br />Councilman Ebow requested Staff to obtain a safety study report from the Airport Advisory Committee; he <br />would also like to see increased play and profit at the Golf Course in La Porte. Councilman Ebow also <br />acknowledged Crystal Scott for work with Youth Advisory Summit and Kerron Clement, from La Porte for <br />breaking the Wodd Record in Track. <br /> <br />5. Administrative Reports <br /> <br />City Manager Debra Feazelle reminded Council and Staff the 12th Annual Barbeque Cook-off on Saturday, <br />March 19,2005, the gates open at noon, with a live auction at 7:00 p.m.; LPISD Facilities Task Force <br />Committee Meeting at La Porte High School Lecture Hall on Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at 6:00 p.m.; and <br />Spring Holiday on Friday, March 25, 2005; First Lady Tour on Main Street, Texas Historic Commission on <br />Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at 10:00 a.m.; the La Porte "Neighborhood" 2005 Gala on Thursday, April 14, <br />2005, at Sylvan Beach Pavilion at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />6. Council Comments <br /> <br />Councilmembers Griffiths, Ebow, Engelken, Mosteit, Clausen, Rigby, Moser, and Mayor Porter had <br />comments. <br /> <br />7. There was not an executive session. <br /> <br />8.
