Public Hearing - Discuss recommendation for approval by Planning and Zoning Commission on zoning ordinance amendments related to the maximum lot coverage of 40% for single-family detached dwellings (Ord. 1501-LLLL) Open Public Hearing - Mayor Porter opened the Public Hearing at 6:23 p.m. Review by Staff - Director of Planning and Community Development Wayne Sabo provided an overview on recommendation for approval by Planning and Zoning on Zoning Ordinance amendments related to the Maximum Lot Coverage of 40% for single-family dwellings. Public Input - None. Recommendation of Planning and Zoning - Unanimously, The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended City Council amending the Code of Ordinances Chapter 106, Section 106-333, Table B, Residential Area Requirements for changing the maximum lot coverage of 40% for single-family dwellings. The Public Hearing was closed at 6:26 p.m. 10. Council to consider approval or other action regarding Ordinance 1501- LLLL. Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read: CONSIDER APPROV AL OF OTHER ACTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, CHAPTER 106, MORE COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, SECTION 1 06-333, TABLE B (RESIDENTIAL AREA REQUIREMENTS) FOR SINGLE-F AMIL Y (DETACHED) RESIDENTIAL, BY MODIFYING THE MAXIMUM LOT COVERAGE OF 40% REGULATION FOR STRUCTURES WITHIN THESE ZONING DISTRICTS OF THE CITY LA PORTE MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS OF FACT RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made by Councilmember Beasley to approve Ordinance 1501-LLLL as presented by Mr. Sabo. Second by Councilmember Moser. The motion carried. Public Input - None Recommendation of Planning and Zoning - Unanimously, The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended City Council consider approval on Zoning Ordinance amendments.
