PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CITIZENS AND TAX PAYERS WISHING <br />TO ADDRESS COUNCIL ON ANY ITEM POSTED ON THE AGENDA. <br />Jim Cummings — 11806 North H. — Mr. Cummings informed Council he was not in favor of item 9. <br />Sam Ford —11820 North H. — Mr. Ford is a representative of Chem Coast and informed Council he was in favor <br />of item 9. <br />Barbara Norwine — 202 S. Lobit — Ms. Norwine informed Council she was not in favor of item 9. <br />Bill Scott —1802 Lomax School Rd., La Porte, Texas - Mr. Scott informed the Council he was not in favor of <br />item 9 or item 10. <br />Nazar Momin — 904 West Barbours Cut Blvd. — Mr. Momin advised he was against item 10. <br />Spero Pomonis — 218 Bay Colony Drive — Mr. Pomonis advised he is not in favor of item 10. <br />Charles young — 214 Reynolds Cut — Mr. Young advised Council he is not in favor of the truck stop item. <br />7. Public Hearing — Consider and take action recommendation for approval by Planning & Zoning of an ordinance <br />amending Chapter 106 (Zoning) to add tree replacement, protective fencing, and visibility triangle provisions of <br />the ordinances. <br />Open Public Hearing - Mayor Porter opened the Public Hearing at 6:37 p.m. <br />Review by Staff— Director of Planning and Community Development Wayne Sabo provided an overview on <br />recommendation for approval by Planning and Zoning of an ordinance amending Chapter 106 (Zoning) to add <br />tree replacement, protective fencing, and visibility triangle provisions of the ordinances. <br />Public Input — None <br />Recommendation of Planning and Zoning — Unanimously, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended <br />City Council consider approval of an ordinance amending Chapter 106 (Zoning) to add tree replacement, <br />protective fencing, and visibility triangle provisions of the ordinances. <br />The Public Hearing was closed at 6:47 p.m. <br />8. Council to consider approval or other action regarding Ordinance 1501-R5 <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read: ORDINANCE 1501-R5- CONSIDER APPROVAL OF OTHER <br />ACTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, <br />CHAPTER 106, MORE COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br />LA PORTE, PERTAINING TO TREE PRESERVATON, PROTECTIVE FENCING REQUIREMENTS, AND <br />VISIBILTY TRIANGLES, BY ADDING SECTION 106-802, TREE REPLACEMENT; SECTION 106-803, <br />PROTECTIVE FENCING; AND SECTION 106-904, VISIBILITY TRIANGLES MAKING CERTAIN <br />
