Harris County Precinct 2 has purchased several of the proposed Type ill HD - Aero Elite 290 transit buses that we are interested in, and report good operations and maintenance performance. This bus will represent an improvement in the comfort level and usability of this vehicle in transporting seniors to their various activities and field trips throughout the state. The Motor Pool has budgeted $112,079 for replacement of this unit in the FY 05-06 budget Staffreconnnends acceptance of the HGAC bid from Texas Bus Sales, Inc. in the amount of $88,068 for a Type ill HD - Aero Elite 290 Transit Bus for the Senior Services Division, per the HGAC term contract and bid documents attached. Action Reauired bv Council: Consider award of HGAC bid to Texas Bus Sales, Inc. to provide a Type ill lID - Aero Elite 290 Transit Bus for the Senior Services Division per the attached HGAC bid documents.
