The new upgrades are <br />omni-directional and therefore do not have to rotate for everyone in their range to hear. One of <br />the most frequent items to repair to the original units is the rotator unit. The Company has <br />discontinued parts for this unit, as it is no longer sold. This years Whelen tower replacement will <br />be another Omni directional tower that will better notify residents. This tower will replace a much <br />older rotating tower that has proved to be maintenance intensive over the past year.
