<br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE LA PORTE CITY COUNCIL <br />June 26, 2006 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Alton Porter at 6:08 p.m. <br /> <br />Members of City Council Present: Mayor Alton Porter, Council members Tommy Moser, <br />Mike Mosteit, Louis Rigby, Barry Beasley, Chuck Engelken, Mike Clausen, Howard Ebow <br />and Peter Griffiths. <br /> <br />Members of Council Absent: None. <br /> <br />Members of City Executive Staff and City Em~loyees Present: City Manager Debra <br />Feazelle, Assistant City Manager John Joerns, Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins, <br />Assistant to the City Manager Crystal Scott, Public Works Director Steve Gillett, Planning <br />Director Wayne Sabo, Assistant City Secretary Sharon Harris, City Secretary Martha Gillett <br />and Parks and Recreation Director Stephen Barr. <br /> <br />Others Present: Alan Neel, Mr. & Ms. Cowart, Sue Gale Mock Kooken and other citizens. <br /> <br />2. Alan Neel of Life Community Church of La Porte delivered the Invocation. <br /> <br />3. Mayor Porter led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />4. PRESENTATIONS / PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Porter presented a Distinguished Budget Award to Assistant Finance Director <br />Michael Dolby and Budget/Investment Officer Shelley Wolny finance department. <br /> <br />5. Consent Agenda <br /> <br />A. Consider approving Minutes of the Special Called Regular Meeting held on June 7, <br />2006 and the Regular Meeting, Public Hearing and Workshop Meeting of City <br />Council held on June 12, 2006. <br /> <br />B. Council to consider approval or other action regarding adopting an ordinance <br />amending Fiscal Year 2005-06 Budget for $38,261 in the Grant Fund for Park Zone <br />#5 expenditures. <br /> <br />C. Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance authorizing and <br />approving the conveyance of part ofTR 5A (1.916 Acres) our of2.8678 Acre Tract <br />W.P. Harris Survey, abstract 30, to Teria Media Ltd. <br /> <br />D. Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance authorizing an <br />interlocal agreement with Harris County for debris removal and disposal services. <br /> <br />Councilmember Moser inquired on item B as to why the Park Zone is being moved <br />to grant fund 32. Assistant Finance Director Michael Dolby advised it is per auditor <br />requirement. <br />
