City Council Regular Meeting and Public Hearing —August 28, 2006 <br />Page 12 <br />Resumes will be received in the City Secretary's Office and compiled in the same manner as when Ms. Feazelle <br />was hired. <br />Motion was made by Council Member Engelken to approve an open search for City Manager's position with a <br />committee consisting of Mayor Porter, Tommy Moser, Chuck Engelken and Howard Ebow. Mayor to serve as <br />the Chairman. Second by Council member Moser. The motion carried. <br />26. Administrative Reports <br />City Manager Debra Feazelle advised council Representative Wayne Smith required council input on public <br />hearing docket #2651 regarding insurance, the submission of resolution and policy amendments to the National <br />League of Cities National Municipal Policy September 1, 2006, Labor Day Holiday observed Monday, September <br />4, 2006, Chamber of Commerce annual steak cookout September 7, 2006 6:30 p.m. at Dupont Recreation <br />Building, Armed Forces Blood Drive September 13-14, 2006 at the Texas National Guard, Employee Health Fair <br />2006, September 15, 2006 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Fitness Center, Boards and Commissions Appreciation <br />Dinner September 18, 2006 6:00 p.m. at the Fitness Center and Neighborhood Center Inc. Volunteer Banquet <br />September 21, 2006 6:30 p.m. at the Houston Yacht Club, Fall Back Festival VIP event September 15, 2006 5:30 <br />p.m. at 101 Main Grill, Fall Back Festival September 22,2006 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Main Street September 23, <br />2006, Noon - 10:00 p.m. Sylvan Beach and the TML Conference October 25-27, 2006 Austin TX. <br />Ms. Feazelle informed council garbage bags would be available to be purchased in January 2007. <br />Council Comments <br />27. Ebow, Engelken, Mosteit, Clausen, Rigby, Moser, Beasley, Griffiths and Mayor Porter had comments. <br />28. There was no action taken during Executive Session <br />Council returned to the table at 9:41 p.m. <br />Motion was made by Council Member Griffiths to adjust City Secretary's salary to 4% increase retro 7/7/2006. <br />Second by Council Member Engelken. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
