PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CITIZENS AND TAX <br />PAYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS COUNCIL ON ANY ITEM POSTED ON THE <br />AGENDA. <br /> <br />James Flanagan addressed council in regards to past, present and future plans and operation <br />in the Barbour's Cut area. Mr. Flanagan provided Council with a handout (see attached <br />Exhibit A. <br /> <br />Debbie Peres ofL.P.I.S.D, spoke to council about Project Graduation. <br /> <br />Barbara Norwine advised Council she was not in favor of the Bayfront Hotel Project. <br /> <br />7. Public Hearing - Council to consider approval or other action on recommendation by <br />Planning & Zoning Commission to approve Special Conditional Use Permit #SCU07-001 <br />for FFA & 4-H projects site to be located at 11006 North Avenue P. <br /> <br />Open Public Hearing - Mayor Porter opened the Public Hearing at 6:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Director of Planning Wayne Sabo presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Council's questions, <br /> <br />Public Input: The following people provided public input: <br /> <br />Vernon Johnson - 11002 P. Street - spoke against passing the ordinance, <br /> <br />Delecia Turner - 10105 N. P. Street - spoke in favor of passing the ordinance with <br />limitations on the number of animals. <br /> <br />Kay Scott - 1802 Lomax School Road - spoke against passing the ordinance. <br /> <br />Allen Rankin - 11006 N. P. Street - spoke in favor of passing the ordinance. <br /> <br />Donna Lott - 5518 Stone Creek - spoke in favor of passing the ordinance, <br /> <br />Betty Cuccerer - 10601 North H - spoke in favor of passing the ordinance, <br /> <br />Chester Pool- 1710 Alvy - spoke in favor of passing the ordinance, <br /> <br />John Hightower - 9810 Brookview - spoke in favor of passing the ordinance. <br /> <br />Mike Cobb - 109 Summerwind Dr. - spoke in favor of passing the ordinance, <br /> <br />Larry Munlin - Bay town, Texas - spoke against passing the ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Porter noted a letter was received from the Ybarra family opposing the approval of <br />this ordinance. <br />
