Council to consider approval or other action regarding accepting a grant award for <br />the La Porte Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) Hazardous Material <br />Emergency Preparedness. <br /> <br />E. Council to consider approval or other action for the purchase of tires from the Texas <br />Building and Procurement Commission Cooperative Purchasing Program in the <br />amount not to exceed $40,000.00. <br /> <br />F. Council to consider approval or other action approving an ordinance amending <br />Fiscal Year 2006-07 Budget for the Grant Fund by $31,000 for the award of the <br />LEPC Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness planning grant. <br /> <br />G. Council to consider approval or other action approving an ordinance authorizing the <br />Interim City Manager to execute a contract with Dr. Oscar Boultinghouse, M.D., <br />Medical Director for the City of La Porte EMS Division. <br /> <br />H. Council to consider approval or other action regarding awarding a bid to Marine, <br />Inc. for Base and Supplemental Bid Items in the amount of $1 05,580 for repairs to <br />the Sylvan Beach Fishing Pier according to the plans and specifications provided, as <br />low bidder meeting specifications. <br /> <br />I. Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance approving and <br />authorizing an Interlocal Agreement between the City of La Porte and the City of <br />Pasadena to provide design capabilities for a Joint Venture Sports Complex, <br />according the terms of the agreement. <br /> <br />Council had questions on items D, G & H. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council member Tommy Moser to approve the consent agenda <br />with the exception of item I as presented. Second by Council member Mike Clausen. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Moser, Beasley, Engelken, Clausen, Ebow, Rigby, and Porter. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council member Howard Ebow to approve and move forward with <br />interlocal agreement and the City of La Porte paying its portion of cost and design of <br />proiect. Second by Council member Chuck Engelken.
