Motion was made by Councilmember Ebow to approve the Ordinance as presented by Mr. Joerns. Second by Councilmember Engelken. The motion carried. Ayes: Mayor Pro-Tem Rigby, Mosteit, Beasley, Clausen, Engleken, Ebowand Malone. Nays: Moser Abstain: None Absent: Mayor Porter 10. Council to consider approval or other action of setting public hearing dates for the proposed Heller annexation for March 24th and April 7th. April 7th, 2008 will be a special called Council Meeting. City Manager Ron Bottoms presented summary and recommendation and answered Council's questions. Motion was made be Councilmember Clausen to approve the aQreement as presented by Mr. Bottoms. Second by Councilmember Beasley. The motion carried. Ayes: Mayor Pro-Tem Rigby, Mosteit, Moser, Beasley, Clausen, Engelken, Ebow and Malone. Nays: None Abstain: None Absent: Mayor Porter 11. Received reports from La Porte Development Board Corporation, Fiscal Affairs Committee, and Drainage and Flooding Committee. Fiscal Affairs Chairperson Chuck Engelken provided the report during the presentation on item 4E. Committee member Chuck Engelken provided a report on the 4B Development Corporation meeting. Chairperson Mosteit provided a report to Council on the Drainage Committee. Mayor Pro-Tem Rigby continued item 6 and allowed comments from Mr. Seng regarding the development at Driftwood and Fairmont Parkway. 12. Mayor Pro-Tem Rigby closed Regular Meeting and opened Workshop Meeting at 7:17p.m. City Secretary Martha Gillett discussed May 10, 2008 Election and informed Council that San Jacinto College did not want to participate in the Joint Election with the City of La Porte and La Porte Independent School District. Assistant City Manager presented a report on State Highway 146 grade separation.
