<br />10. Received reports from La Porte Development Corporation Board, Fiscal Affairs Committee, <br />and Drainage and Flooding Committee. <br /> <br />There were no reports to provide on the La Porte Development Corporation Board or <br />Fiscal Affairs. <br /> <br />Chairperson Mosteit provided a report to Council on the Drainage and Flooding <br />Committee. The following items were noted: <br /> <br />The Drainage and Flooding Committee would like Council to consider moving the next <br />Council meeting time to begin at 7:00 p.m. to provide the committee additional meeting <br />time. <br /> <br />The Drainage study was not complete and the committee wants this report by the next <br />meeting. <br /> <br />The committee directed staff to move forward with the short term project involving the <br />Creekmont Subdivision. Staff is to visit with the homeowners and coordinate with Harris <br />County Precinct Two. <br /> <br />The new subdivision project in Deer Park (East Meadows) needs to be studied because it <br />could have a negative impact on La Porte. Staff needs to work with the City of Deer Park <br />on this project to ensure there no impact on La Porte. <br /> <br />Staff was requested to invite Pipeline companies to attend and be present at the Drainage <br />and Flooding Committee Meetings. <br /> <br />11. Mayor Pro- T em Rigby closed the Regular Meeting and opened the Workshop Meeting at <br />7:55 p.m. <br /> <br />A. Mike Boaze, Donald Ladd, Cliff Meekins and Ray Nolen provided updates on the <br />Fire, EMS, and Fire Marshall's Office. <br /> <br />C. Finance Director Michael Dolby provided a Financial Report. <br /> <br />D. City Manager Ron Bottoms provided information on the Main Street District <br />Overlay Design Control & Uses. <br /> <br />Mr. Bottoms informed Council there are some holes in the process whereby the <br />Main Street Advisory Board needs to review and approve any new development <br />on Main Street. He noted staff will be reviewing this process and providing <br />recommended solutions to the problem. <br /> <br />12. With the consensus of council, Mayor Pro Tem Rigby closed the workshop meeting and <br />reopened the public remonstrances portion of the regular meeting at 8:46 p.m. and allowed <br />Ronda Lunsford to speak for five minutes. <br />
