City Council Meeting — April 28, 2008 — 6:00 p.m. <br />April 28, 2008 — May 6, 2008 — Early Voting <br />Mr. Bottoms also announced he is pleased that Tim Tietjens has accepted the position of <br />Planning Director. <br />16. Council Comments- Malone, Ebow, Engelken, Mosteit, Clausen, Rigby, Moser, and <br />Porter <br />Mayor Porter reported the Port of Houston has invited neighboring cities to view the <br />unloading of a ship on April 3rd. It will be in the afternoon and the time is to be announced <br />and confirmed. <br />17. Executive Session — PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, <br />CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551.076, 551-087, TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE <br />(CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY, DELIBERATION REGARDING REAL PROPERTY, <br />DELBERATION REGARDING PROSPECTIVE GIFT OR DONATION, PERSONNEL <br />MATTERS, DELIBERATION REGARDING SECURITY DEVICES, OR EXCLUDING A <br />WITNESS DURING EXAMINATION OF ANOTHER WITNESS IN AN INVESTIGATION, <br />DELIBERATION REGARDING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NEGOTIATIONS) <br />551.072 (Deliberation regarding real property) Meet with City Manager and <br />City Attorney to discuss the <br />purchase, exchange, lease or <br />value of real property <br />Council retired to Executive Session at 7:41 p.m. and returned to Regular Meeting <br />and reconvened at 8:03 p.m. <br />17. Considerations and possible action on items in executive session. <br />Mayor Porter announced the Council received report from City Manager and City Attorney <br />regarding sale and value of real property, provided direction to staff to prepare ordinances <br />for sale of properties and/or to grant easements, and to continue negotiations. <br />18.
