Drainage and Flooding Committee Meeting - June 23, 2008 - 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The public remonstrances portion of the regular meeting was reopened and the following <br />were allowed to speak for five minutes each: <br /> <br />Kathryn Aguilar - 3119 Fondren, would like to raise $2500.00 to - $5000.00 with the help <br />of a grant to achieve historic status of the Pavilion, by making the park more desirable <br />including more recreational activities. <br /> <br />Ray Key, 228 Cypress, is opposed to using tax payers money to help an individual with the <br />development of the city. <br /> <br />Ted Powell, 1700 Roscoe, reported that the Pavilion group volunteers want to volunteer <br />their time, energy and resources to restore the Pavilion with as little tax payers money as <br />possible. They need permission in writing to begin restoring the Pavilion with the <br />donations that the Pavilion group has received. <br /> <br />Phillip Hoot, 927 Seabreeze, wants to get a historical study done to understand the cost to <br />restore the Pavilion. <br /> <br />13. Council Comments- Clausen, Rigby, Moser, Black, Malone, Ebow, Engelken, Mosteit and <br />Porter. <br /> <br />14. Executive Session - PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, <br />CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551.076, 551-087, TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE <br />(CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY, DELIBERATION REGARDING REAL PROPERTY, <br />DELBERA TION REGARDING PROSPECTIVE GIFT OR DONATION, PERSONNEL <br />MATTERS, DELIBERATION REGARDING SECURITY DEVICES, OR EXCLUDING A <br />WITNESS DURING EXAMINATION OF ANOTHER WITNESS IN AN INVESTIGATION, <br />DELIBERATION REGARDING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NEGOTIATIONS) <br /> <br />A. 551.072 (Deliberation regarding real property) <br /> <br />Meet with City Manager and <br />City Attorney to discuss the <br />purchase, exchange, lease or <br />value of real property <br />
