Council to consider approval or other action regarding Ordinance 1501-G6. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read Ordinance 1501-G6, AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, CHAPTER <br />106, MORE COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY <br />OF LA PORTE, BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION FROM GENERAL <br />COMMERCIAL AND LARGE LOT RESIDENTIAL TO PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT <br />AS REQUESTED FOR 21.289 ACRE TRACT OF LAND DESCRIBED AS LOTS <br />367,368,369A AND 370, LA PORTE OUTLOTS (VOLUME 61, PAGE 374 AS PER <br />H.C.D.R.) BEING SITUATED IN THE ENOCH BRINSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO.5 <br />AND N. CLOPPER SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 198, CITY OF LA PORTE, HARRIS <br />COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 1241 UNDERWOOD ROAD; MAKING CERTAIN <br />FINDINGS OF FACT RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF; <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council member Malone to deny the rezoninq request. Seconded by <br />Councilmember Mosteit. Public Hearing - Council to consider recommendation of Planning and Zoning <br />Commission regarding Special Conditional Use Permit (SCUP) Request #SCU08-004 for a <br />21.289 acre tract of land described as lots 367,368,369A and 370, La Porte Outlots, at <br />1241 Underwood Road, for exterior material storage and operation of lay down yard in <br />PUD Zone. <br /> <br />On advice of the City Attorney, the public hearing was dismissed by the City Council and <br />not held due to the action taken on item 8 to deny the rezoning request for the same <br />property. <br /> <br />10. Public Hearing- Council to consider recommendations of Planning and Zoning Commission <br />to approve Special Conditional Use Permit (SCUP) Request #SCU08-005 for a 10.64 acre <br />tract being Reserve D out of ~207 acres of land located along Old Underwood Road south <br />of State Highway 225, for development of office/warehouse facility in PUD Zone. <br /> <br />Open Public Hearing - Mayor Porter opened the Public Hearing at 7:04 p.m. <br />
