Minutes of Regular Meeting and Workshop Meeting held on February 23, 2009 Page 3 <br />Director of Planning Tim Tietjens presented summary and recommendations and <br />answered Council's questions. <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read Resolution 2009-01, A RESOLUTION <br />ADOPTING A PORTION OF THE "PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT CRITERIA MANUAL (PICM) <br />CALLED FOR IN ORDINANCE 1444 THE DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE OF THE CITY <br />OF LA PORTE), RELATING TO DRAINAGE CRITERIA AND IMPROVEMENTS; MAKING <br />CERTAIN FINDINGS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Moser to approve Resolution 2009-01 as presented <br />by Mr. Tietjens. Councilmember Engelken seconded the motion. Mayor Porter closed Regular Meeting and opened Workshop Meeting at 6:37 p.m. <br />A. City Manager Ron Bottoms discussed the Economic Strategy Plan and Survey. <br />Avalanche Consultant Amy Holloway provided an overview and provided a <br />website address (forwardlaporte.com.) for survey results posted on this site. <br />B. IT Manager Jeff Suggs discussed Audio Visual upgrade and installation in the <br />Council Chambers. <br />Council directed staff to move forward with the project using the council <br />contingency fund. <br />C. Human Resources Manager Heather Weger discussed the Employee Policy <br />Manual. <br />Council directed staff to pull this item and place on a future agenda. <br />D. City Manager Ron Bottoms discussed Hotel/Motel Occupancy Taxes for sports <br />Facilities. <br />Council directed staff to continue to move forward and bring back at a future date. <br />9. Mayor Porter closed the Workshop Meeting and reconvened to Regular Meeting at 7:05 <br />p.m. <br />10. Receive report from Drainage and Flooding Committee. <br />
