<br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING AND WORKSHOP <br />OF THE LA PORTE CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 9, 2009 <br /> <br />1. Call to order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro-Tem Clausen at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Members of City Council Present: Mayor Pro-Tem Mike Clausen, Council members <br />Tommy Moser, Mike Mosteit, Georgia Malone, Louis Rigby and Chuck Engelken <br /> <br />Members of Council Absent: Mayor Porter, John Black and Howard Ebow. <br /> <br />Members of City Executive Staff and City Employees Present: City Manager Ron <br />Bottoms, Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins, City Secretary Martha Gillett, Police Chief <br />Kenith Adcox, Assistant City Manager John Joerns, Director of Public Works Steve Gillett, <br />Assistant Fire Chief Donald Ladd, Human Resources Manager Heather Weger, Finance <br />Director Michael Dolby, Assistant to the City Manager Melissa Lanclos and GIS Manager <br />Brian Sterling. <br /> <br />Others Present: Adam Yanelli of Bayshore Sun, Pat Clark, Dottie Kaminski, Phillip Hoot, <br />Nick Barrera, Richard Warren, Mark Follis, Daryl Leonard, Orville Burgess, Susie Burgess, <br />David Janda, Kathryn Aguilar, Aaron Corrales, Neil Welch, Ted Powell, Barry Beasley, <br />Phillip Hoot, and a number of other citizens. <br /> <br />2. Dr. Spears was not present so the Invocation was delivered by Clark Askins. <br /> <br />3. Mayor Pro Tem Clausen led the Pledge of Allegiance <br /> <br />4. Presentations/ Proclamations <br /> <br />A. Mayor Pro Tem Clausen presented a proclamation for "Texas History Day". <br /> <br />B. Mayor Pro Tem Clausen recognized Billy Brooks of Public Works as "Employee of <br />the Fourth Quarter". <br /> <br />5. Consent Agenda <br /> <br />A. Council to consider approving minutes of the Regular Meeting and Workshop <br />Meeting for La Porte City Council held on February 23, 2009 - M. Gillett <br /> <br />B.
