Council to consider approval or other action of minutes of Regular Meeting and <br />Workshop for the La Porte City Council held on May 11, 2009 and Special Called <br />Regular Meeting and Workshop held on May 18, 2009 - M. Gillett <br /> <br />B. Council to consider approval or other action authorizing the Planning Director to <br />execute a pipeline permit as requested by Linde Gas North America, LLC. for <br />installation of an 8" hydrogen gas pipeline with the City of La Porte - T. Tietjens <br /> <br />C. Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance amending the <br />City of La Porte 2008-2009 Fiscal Year Budget - (Ord. 3149) - M. Dolby <br /> <br />Councilmember Mosteit had a question on item B. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Engelken to approve the consent agenda with one <br />change to item B, by adding the sentence "Whereby in the event of inclement weather, the <br />contractor will remove all construction debris prior to rain to prevent flooding". A second <br />was made by Councilmember Clausen. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Clausen, Moser, Malone, Engelken, Mosteit and Beasley <br />Nayes: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: Black, Rigby, and Leonard <br /> <br />6. Petitions, Remonstrance's, Communications, Citizens and Tax Payers wishing to address <br />Council on any item posted on the agenda (Limited to five minutes) <br /> <br />Michelle Cantu, 3327 E. Plantation - asked for an ordinance requiring fencing around <br />Mobile Homes Parks within the City. <br /> <br />Phillip Hoot, 927 Seabreeze - shared concerns with items 9 and 18 on agenda. <br /> <br />7. Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance appointing members <br />of the Complete Count Committee (CCG) for the Census 2010 - (Ord. 3150) - T. Tietjens <br /> <br />Planning Director Tim Tietjens presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Council's questions. <br /> <br />Councilmember Engelken suggested appointing Susan Robinson to the Complete Count <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Councilmember Mosteit suggested appointing Don Hill of Interfaith Council to the <br />Complete Count Committee. <br /> <br />Planning Director Tim Tietjens suggested Paula Swearingen of the Neighborhood Centers <br />and Marie Meehan of the Women's Shelter as potential appointees. <br />
