Minutes of Regular Meeting and Workshop of the La Porte City Council held on July 13, 2009 Page 5 <br />Walker was appointed to a two (2) year term to end August 31, 2011. T. J. Walker replaces <br />Bob Capen. Mr. Walker's term will begin September 1, 2009. <br />A second was made by Councilmember Moser. Motion carried. <br />Ayes: Rigby, Moser, Black, Leonard, Engelken, Mosteit, Clausen and Beasley <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: Councilmember Malone was absent from the table during the vote. <br />10. Mayor Beasley closed Regular meeting and opened Workshop meeting at 7:15 p.m. <br />A. Discuss City of Morgan's Point proposed Hike and Bike Trail location — T. Tietjens <br />Director of Planning Tim Tietjens introduced Mr. Bays, Morgan's Point City Administrator <br />who led the discussion on the proposed location of Morgan's Point Hike and Bike Trail. <br />Accompanying Mr. Bays was Councilmember Bechtel. <br />Council provided staff with direction to move forward and to send out the same <br />notifications of public hearings that had been previously sent out. <br />11. Mayor Beasley closed Workshop meeting and reconvened to Regular meeting at 7:28 p.m. <br />12. Receive Monthly Drainage Report for City Staff - S. Gillett <br />Public Works Director Steve Gillett presented the Monthly Drainage Report to City Council <br />and answered Councils' questions. <br />13.
