New code books, existing local amendments and typed comments on the codes were provided to <br />the Building Codes Appeals Board. The codes were subsequently reviewed and discussed by the Board. <br /> <br />At their August ] 7, 20] 0 meeting, the Board voted to recommend adoption of the 2009 Code Editions with local <br />amendments as noted in the report. Attached is the Board recommendation memo and typed comments. <br /> <br />On September 27,2010 Council held a workshop on the Board recommendation and code amendments. At that <br />meeting, staff was directed to move forward with a code adoption ordinance. <br /> <br />In accordance with past practices, the ordinance was developed with a delayed implementation period to allow for <br />mail notification to contractors as well as updating of divisional handouts and the website.
