<br />Minutes of Regular Meeting and Public Hearing of La Porte City Council on October 11, 2010 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />Mayor Rigby noted the minutes need to be changed to reflect that item I was voted on <br />separately rather than item H. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zemanek noted the word forensic audit needs to be removed from the <br />minutes. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of Council for these changes to be made to the minutes and noted <br />the City Secretary make the changes. <br /> <br />Council had questions on items A, B, D, E, F, G, H, K, Land O. <br /> <br />Council voted separately on items B, D <br /> <br />On item D, Council requested staff notify the citizens one more time through formal letters <br />and personal visits to the residence. Staff was directed to ensure the citizen's had a visual <br />of the final outcome of the project on their property. In addition, Council requested staff to <br />find out if the City of Deer Park's Drainage Master Plan will have an adverse impact on the <br />City of La Porte. <br /> <br />Staff was directed to bring back pricing to do all of the projects underground. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read the following ordinance captions: <br /> <br />Ordinance 3280 - AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING NEW BUILDING CODES <br />(INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL) BY AMENDING CHAPTER 82 OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE BY AMENDING CHAPTER 82, "BUILDINGS <br />AND BUILDING REGULATIONS", ARTICLE II "BUILDING CODES," SECTION 82-31 <br />"ADOPTION" AND SECTIONS 82-32 "RESIDENTIAL CODE AMENDMENTS" AND 82-33 <br />"BUILDING CODE AMENDMENTS"; ARTICLE III "PLUMBING CODE" SECTION 82-66 <br />"ADOPTION" AND SECTION 82-67 "AMENDMENTS"; ARTICLE V "FUEL GAS CODE", <br />SECTION 82-381 "ADOPTION" AND SECTION 82-412 "ADOPTION" AND SECTION 82- <br />413 "AMENDMENTS"; ARTICLE VII "MECHANICAL CODE', SECTION 82-441 <br />"ADOPTION" AND SECTION 82-442 "AMENDMENTS"; PROVIDING A REPEALING <br />CLAUSE; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE TERMS OF <br />THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND UPON <br />CONVICTION SHALL BE FINED IN A SUM NOT TO EXCEED TWO THOUSAND <br />DOLLARS; PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THE CAPTION HEREOF; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Ordinance 3281 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT <br />LETTERS BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND COMPANIES LOCATED WITHIN <br />THE BATTLEGROUND INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL <br />SERVICES, MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE <br />SUBJECT, FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />
