Consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance denying Centerpoint Energy's <br />proposed rate change (Ord. 3295) - R. Bottoms <br /> <br />Mr. Alton Hall an Attorney with the Coalition of Cities presented a summary and <br />recommendation and answered Councils' questions. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read Ordinance 3295 AN ORDINANCE RELATING <br />TO THE RETAIL ELECTRIC RATES OF CENTERPOINT ENERGY HOUSTON <br />ELECTRIC, LLC WITHIN THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS; DENYING A RATE <br />INCREASE AND MAINTAINING IN EFFECT THE CURRENT RATES THAT SHALL <br />CONTITUTE THE CENTERPOINT ENERGY HOUSTON ELECTRIC, LLC RATES TO BE <br />OBSERVED WITHIN THE CITY OF LA PORTE UNTIL CHANGED UNDER THE <br />UTILITIES CODE; MAKING FINDINGS AND CONTAINING OTHER PROVISIONS <br />RELATING TO THE FOREGOING SUBJECT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABIL TY; AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Councilmember Black to approve Ordinance 3295 denvino Center - <br />point EnerQV's proposed rate chanoe as presented bv Mr. Hall.
